CMS B School, Jain (Deemed-to-be University) hosted their first Activity Based Leaning by the Self-Start club the programme commenced with an introduction to club and welcome to Dr. DineshNilkanth, Director, Dr. Harold Andrew Patrick, Dean and Dr. N Chandrashekhar Dean Executive MBA, Area Chairs, Club coordinators and the members by Dr. Uma M.H., Chairperson Self-Start Club. Dr. Dinesh Nilkanth addressed the gathering by encouraging them to be persistent. Dr. Harold Andrew Patrick, gave insights on the entrepreneur qualities of being open to change and also refereed to one of his study resulted as women entrepreneurs are more likely to adapt change. Dr. N. Chandrashekhar, encouraged the club members stating there are wide opportunities in the country with the global advent. Dr. Sudarshan Sheshanna, Area Chair-General Management addressed the gathering with interesting statistics of India’s entrepreneurs, role of women. And concluded stating CMS B-School, has a supportive ecosystem for fostering entrepreneurial thinking and incubation. There is no better time to be an entrepreneur than now. Dr. Batni Raghavendra Rao, Area Chair Finance, addressed the gathering stating the entrepreneurs have a special zeal and discipline. The first activity of the year form the Self-Star Club had a fairly good response from the club members with active participation from 28 members. The description consisted of the early life, struggle period and a quality which fascinated the participant to follow that particular entrepreneur and what decisions they will take entering into the shoes of their role model. Dr. N Chandrashekhar judged the event. The winners of the event will be awarded during the Achiever’s Day.

The program came to an end with a closing address by Dr. M.H Sharieff, Area Chair Aviation. In his address he listed the special qualities an entrepreneur possesses and stated all the participants have the glimpse of those qualities in them.
