19 Jul 2017

CMS Business School organized an Outbound Experiential and Integrative Learning Program for the 2017-19 MBA Batch from 10 to 15 July. Around 347 students participated in the 6-day long outbound training program which was held at Guru Freddy's Academy, Somenahalli, Kanakapura.

Under the guidance of Mr. S Raman, Director and Mrs. Divya Rao, students were divided into the groups to participate in various team building activities such as river crossing, belly crawling, Tarzan jump, rappelling, and hill climbing. Through these group activities, students learnt to devise strategies for overcoming obstacles in life. Team activities like rock climbing taught them the importance of trusting your team to move forward in life.

To practice how an effective team works, each group were asked to create a human machine out of their members wherein the team which built the human bullock cart won the game. Students were also involved in a few hill climbing activities on top of the hill.

The 6-day training program saw enthusiastic participation from the MBA students and helped them get to know each other. Students learnt about self-motivation which is needed at every point of life and how an efficient and supportive team can do wonders for your career. These team building activities cultivate discipline and help in maintaining both physical and mental health. Other than learning new things, students had a lot of fun performing the activities.
