To enhance the knowledge of modern marketing strategies used by businesses, CMS Business School, in association with Happiest Minds Technologies, organised an industry immersion activity for its students on 15th December 2022. The speakers for the event were Mr. Kiran Veigas and Ms. Meghana Rao.
The activity highlighted various emerging trends in the marketing world that students must be aware of. The activity demonstrated how volatile and adaptive a modern marketer must be to capitalise on emerging market trends to refrain a business from being perished. The activity also showed how the values and conviction of a leader are crucial for an entity to make it impervious to obstacles that real life can throw at it. The activity enhanced the knowledge of various digital technologies and how those technologies have become a part and parcel of the everyday life of consumers. It highlighted that if businesses do not engage consumers in the said mediums, then they are setting themselves up for failure. While highlighting the importance of communication, it made the audience understand that how an entity reaches out to consumers is of massive importance as the entity can grow or face a downfall based on its brand communication.
The activity showed students that if businesses have the right conviction and values, there remains no such thing as the right timing or the right moment. The businesses should aim to make themselves perpetual, which can be achieved by unique value propositions that are strong. Marketers, when aiming to market to Gen-Z, must be ready to make their presence felt across various digital media platforms, or else they may become obsolete. Also, queries regarding the job roles were clarified for the students. The activity provided clarity to students that will be helpful for them to prepare for and crack the interviews.
Overall, the activity was a great insight into the application of learned knowledge to real-life scenarios.
