July 25, 2024, witnessed a daylong event that welcomed all the new MBA batch 2024-26 students with a ceremonial event 'Deeksharambh'. The event, organized by JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Faculty of Management Studies, CMS Business School, Bengaluru, marked a remarkable beginning to an inspiring academic journey at the Srihari Khoday Centre for Performing Arts. Deeksharambh set the tone for the years ahead with its student induction program.

The day spanned three dynamic sessions crafted to engage, inspire, and prepare MBA students for an exciting journey with CMS Business School. Deeksharambh is a momentous occasion where ambition converges with opportunity, marking the beginning of a transformative journey to shape the future of business with creativity, integrity, and purpose.

Session I was addressed by Chief Guest, Shri. Ankit Fatehpuria (Co Founder, Zetwerk), Guest of Honor, Shri. Chandra Sekhar Garisa (CEO, foundit), and Honorable Chancellor of JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Dr. Chenraj Roychand.

Session II was led by the students of CMS Business School with 'CMS Got Talent'. This session moved with an 'Overview of JU-CMS Business School' by Pro Vice-Chancellor, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Dr. DInesh Nilkant. The program was taken over by Professor and Dean, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Dr. Harold Andrew Patrick, introducing the 'Area, Structure, Ethics, Discipline, TAP-R and Class-Work'. The session was closed by Deputy Dean - Academics, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Dr. Sangeetha Devanathan with an introduction to 'Outcome Based Education and National Education Policy'.

Session III was led by Professor and Program Co-ordinator, Dr. Madhavi R and Chief Manager, Placements and Corporate Relations, Ms. Preeti Bhandary. This section focused on 'Placements, Career Planning, and Entrepreneurship'. This was followed by 'CMS Got Talent' by the students. In the later part of the session, an Area Introduction was conducted to understand various specialities and areas in this course. Various areas introduced include Finance, Marketing, OB & HRM General Management, Decision Science ENVC, Business Analytics, and Aviation & Aerospace Management.

The day closed with the Deeksharambh Student Induction Programme by Associate Professor and Area Chair - Marketing, Dr. Krishna Koppa.
