Jain (Deemed-to-be University), CMS B school had organized an annual In-house Management fest 'Parichay-2018' on 8, 14 and 20 August 2019 with the theme “Collaboration and Teamwork”.Parichay is an event where the seniors acquaint themselves with the junior batch of students by engaging them in management activities.

The B-School Students unleashed their talent vivaciously in various verticals like Best Manager, Business Quiz, Best Entrepreneur, Human Resource, Marketing, Finance, Aviation, CMS got talent, Art, Photography and Videography. Their intellectual and emotional competencies were unveiled and their versatility was showcased in the multi-facetedness in the cultural events.

Events on 8 August, 2019
Best Entrepreneur: The Entrepreneurial skills of the individuals are tested with the rounds designed such that it tests their entrepreneurial abilities.

Marketing: The event tests the marketing abilities to its core with a theme” of marketing is everywhere”. The event consisted of several rounds and MIGZAAR being the final round for the vertical.

Business Quiz: Tests the smartness through the battle of brains and the winner gets the title of the smartest. Afterall smart is the new cool! This event had a total of 4 rounds with progressive difficulty. Top 6 teams played in the final round on stage at MLR Convention Centre on 20th August, 2019. Ms. Meghavi Manjunath was quizmaster for the day.

These events saw the invoking of the best minds as this day was just a warm up for coming events. These rounds also saw the presence of external judges and alumni as our guests.

Events on 14 August, 2019
Best Manager: Lao Tsu: “To lead people, walk behind them.” This is the event which tested all capabilities of the participants. This event was a mix of all the verticals as the objective of Best Manager vertical is to find out managers who are well versed with everything.

Human Resource: The people are the face behind every organization. Human resource vertical is designed such that it tested all your managerial capabilities in the sphere of managing people with society as centre sphere.

CMS Got Talent: ‘All work and no play makes Jack a Dull Boy’, CMS got Talent is a platform to showcase talent and get recognized for it. The Finals of CMS Got Talent were held on 20th August 2019 at MLR Convention Centre. This year the theme for the performances were Indian Culture, Defence forces and included many more performances like Mime, Band performance by the senior batch.

Finance:  Finance or money is termed as blood for any organization, with this importance the vertical conducted several rounds out of which only the best brains in finance got the chance to move forward and won the title for the vertical. The rounds were intense and progressively difficult with KAHOOT round being the most liked round.

Aviation: Aviation was recently included as a part of CMS Business school. Aviation department initiated-its very own vertical which saw amazing response in terms of participation. Students from the aviation batch organized it very well and event was a huge success.

Art:Ralph Waldo Emerson. “Every artist was first an amateur” with a motive to provide a platform to our students, Art vertical was started this year so the students can showcase their talents in the field of arts and are not bound by any conventional way of doing things. This vertical provided students to explore their creative side. Art vertical was the core team to take care of decoration for the events.

Photography: Another event which is in place to support and enhance creativity of students and their thinking abilities. Photography vertical challenges students with different tasks in which they capture snaps accordingly.

Videography: This vertical was also a new edition to the series of events in Parichay. This vertical tests student’s creative abilities and technical soundness that goes behind the making of a perfect audio visual delight.

All the verticals saw positive responses from the juniors which made Parichay 2019 a grand success.

Highlight of events on 20 August,2019
The Events in MLR was graced by the presence of Chief Guest Prof Amrit Lal Bharadwaj, Cardiff Business School, Cardiff University - a Russell League University, Cardiff, Dr.Dinesh N, Director, CMS Business School, Dr. Harold Andrew Patrick, Dean, CMS Business School and Dr.N Chandrasekhar, Dean, Executive MBA, who   addressed the gathering with their motivational thoughts.

CMS got talent, Best Manager, and Business quiz finals gave the tremendous audience response at MLR. We had internal as well as external judges who contributed to the success of the event. Parichay Team, Prof Rajiv U K, Dr.Bidhi and Dr.Geeti were also present. The preparations for Parichay started on 29th July, 2019 and was in full swing until the final event was over on 20 During this duration many events across different verticals took place be it flash mob in the breaks or rounds after the class. The campus was more lively than ever and had a positive aura all throughout.
