Book Circulation Service: Book Circulation Services are those services involved with borrowing books for a particular period, renewals, reservations as per the policy set by LAC:

Research Assistance:

Faculty members can approach librarians for any help regarding research articles, article requests, collecting data, cases, etc. from the subscribed and open-access e-journals.

Scanning Facility:

Faculty can request for scan copy of a particular case study or book chapter or research article for teaching purpose (subject to copyright act)

EBSCO Discovery Service:

The Learning Resource Center is able to integrate the subscribed e-resources directly into the website and develop user experience with a search box using the EDS. Users will be able to access the electronic resources subscribed by JAIN (Deemed-to-University) through a single interface, delivering a comprehensive, quick, and familiar experience.

Web OPAC:

Web OPAC - Online Public Access catalog can be accessed to search the bibliographic records available in the library through a web-based search interface. The OPAC can be searched by author, title, subject, keywords, call number, and publisher.

Current Awareness Service:

The various methods used to keep patron’s current with academic and professional literature are:

  • List of latest additions- Sending out the lists of newly acquired books through e-mail
  • Table of Contents – Table contents of any requested books, articles would be sent through the Google Group
  • News clipping service- The library provides newspaper or news clipping service to its users
Plagiarism Check Service:

JAIN Deemed-to-be University has accessed to the licensed version of Plagiarism Checking Software - ‘Turnitin’ to the in-house faculty members for checking similarity report of research articles (not for thesis or books publications)

Reference Service:

The reference Service is an essential service offered by the LRC. It helps users to make full use of the resources available in the library. The main functions of the reference service are:

  • Providing guidance in the use of library resources and services
  • Assisting in accessing e-journals, e-books, databases, free open access journals, etc
  • Answering the reference questions directly asked by the users
  • Arranging library-tour for new users
