The Placement Office at CMS Business School is committed to helping students in starting their careers. In order to make the functioning of the office smoother, the placement model of comparable B-Schools was studied. It became evident that the involvement of students in the placement process was important. In this regard, the Placement Department and the Placement Faculty Committee members of CMS B-School organised the selection process of Placement Ambassadors for the batch 2023-24.

The Placement Department received an overwhelming response from students, expressing their interest in becoming a part of the Placement Ambassador team. The faculty advisors from each area shortlisted the candidates on the basis of their academic performance and the suitability through their answers in the Ambassador Application form. The shortlisted candidates were then evaluated based on their attitude, communication skills, willingness to contribute, integrity, and initiative. Considering the faculty evaluations, and evaluations by senior ambassadors and the placement team, students with the highest scores from each section were selected.

The Placement Ambassadors selected through the rigorous selection process were formally inducted to the role with an appointment letter and a badge on 25th May 2023. The event started with the Director’s address, followed by a brief speech by the Dean, Dr Shivaprasad G. Dr Rajiv then took over the stage and explained the roles and responsibilities of the Placement Ambassadors while Mrs. Sunitha, Placement Manager briefed them about the selection process. Next, the newly chosen Placement Ambassadors took the oath and collected their badges from Dr Vijayalakshmi P & Dr Shivaprasad G. The event came to a close with a vote of thanks by the Dean.
