CMS Business School, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) hosted the India Immersion Programme from 10th to 12th April as an initiative to promote collaboration and knowledge exchange among students. The three-day programme allowed the students of ISCTE, Lisbon to learn and interact with the students and faculty of JAIN (Deemed-to-be University).
The programme kicked off on 10th April with a session by Dr. Shakeela Banu & Dr. Salma Begum on the topic of Indian Economy and trends. It was a unique learning opportunity for ISCTE students and they made the best of it. The next session was conducted by Dr. M H Sharieff on the topic 'Art of cross-cultural negotiation'. Students of both the universities participated actively in this session and gained new perspective. The last session of the day was conducted by CMSBS students under the guidance of Dr. Hemanth Kumar S. Cultural programs were designed to entertain ISCTE students and allowed them to exchange ideas and cultures of both the countries.
Day 2 of the programme was dedicated to a visit to Mysore city. The tour began at the Infosys Campus in Mysore, followed by a walkabout of the market. The day ended with a dinner at the Holiday Inn Hotel. On the last day of the programme, students attended a session by Dr. Rajani Jairam on 'Culture, Ethics, and Morality - an Indian perspective'. It was an eye-opening experience for the students. The 3-day programme concluded with a speech by Dean, Harold Andrew Patrick. The India Immersion Programme allowed students to exchange new ideas and insights while giving them a chance to experience cultural differences.
