14 Mar 2026

Bengaluru, 13th and 14th March 2026  - The grounds of CMS Business School, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), came alive with energy and camaraderie as Khel Utsav 2025 commenced on 13th and 14th March with a vibrant inauguration ceremony that brought together students, faculty, and staff in a shared celebration of sport and community. Marking one of the institution’s flagship annual events, the festival opened with the unveiling of the official logo and the ceremonial lighting of the torch - symbolic gestures that set the tone for a spirited and competitive sporting season.

The launch event was graced by distinguished university leaders, including Dr. Dinesh N, Pro Vice Chancellor of JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), and Dr. Krishna Koppa, Deputy Director of CMS Business School, alongside members of the student council committee, teaching and non-teaching staff, and students from across disciplines. Their presence reinforced the institution’s emphasis on holistic development and the role of sports in cultivating leadership, resilience, and collaboration among students.

Adding colour and enthusiasm to the occasion, the day was also observed as Jersey Day, with students proudly representing their teams and departments in coordinated sporting attire. The vibrant atmosphere reflected not only competitive excitement but also a strong sense of belonging and unity across the campus community.

Over the course of the event, participants engaged in a diverse line-up of indoor and outdoor sports, including athletics, football, basketball, cricket, badminton, and table tennis. The tournament transformed the campus into a dynamic arena where students, faculty, and staff competed side by side, encouraging healthy competition and strengthening bonds beyond academic spaces.

More than a sporting event, Khel Utsav continues to serve as a platform for building interpersonal skills, discipline, and teamwork in high-pressure environments. By encouraging participation across all sections of the university, the initiative reflects CMS Business School’s broader commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals equipped for both professional and personal challenges.
