Bengaluru: A professional development session on DGR Training was held at CMS Business School on 11 November 2025 at Lecture Hall–514. The session, conducted from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., featured Mr Samson Nicholas, Assistant Vice President – Learning & Development at AIRINDIA SATS, as the resource person.
The training was organised to enhance participants’ understanding of DGR (Dangerous Goods Regulations) practices, an essential compliance requirement in aviation, logistics, and allied industries. Mr Nicholas, recognised for his extensive industry experience, led the workshop, focusing on safety protocols, regulatory frameworks, and contemporary best practices for handling regulated materials. His session blended conceptual clarity with real-world insights, enabling participants to appreciate both the operational and strategic relevance of DGR training in today’s evolving logistics landscape.
Throughout the programme, attendees engaged in interactive discussions, scenario-based learning, and detailed walkthroughs of regulatory procedures. The workshop emphasised adherence to international standards, the importance of risk mitigation, and the critical role of trained professionals in ensuring safe, compliant operations across supply chains.
Reflecting on the session, Mr Samson Nicholas stated: “Training in DGR regulations is not merely a statutory requirement but a professional responsibility. Building a culture of safety demands consistent learning, awareness, and commitment from every individual involved in the process.”
The event strengthened the school’s emphasis on industry-oriented learning and fostered professional competence among its students. Future training sessions and advanced workshops are planned to extend similar opportunities to a wider cohort of learners.
