Punashchetana is a Faculty Refresher Program that focuses on helping educators upgrade their skills and techniques. Punashchetana was held in a format with 2 sessions each day from July 3, 2024, to July 15, 2024.
Day 2 Session 1, commenced on July 3, 2024, with the focus of the program on ‘Professional Branding of Management Educators’. This session was led by Mr. Karthik B, Manager of Sales Development, via Zoom.
Day 2 Session 2 began with focus on building resilience among students. The session was led by Dr. Hemant Bhagrava, Associate Professor of Integrative Medicine, NIMHANS, Bengaluru and an Adjunct Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA. The session provided insights into overcoming challenges and emotional turmoil which will help faculty members to build resilience among students.
Day 3 Session 2 emphasized mental health and wellness. Led by Dr. Surya Prasad, the session focused on implication of mental health and wellness as paramount for both the academics and the students in fostering holistic well-being and optimal functioning across various life domains.
Day 4 Session 1 consisted of an engaging talk on Application of Artificial Intelligence in Research. This session was led by Dr. Kiran R., a partner and general manager at Microsoft.
Day 4 Session 2 focused on Storytelling as the tool to teach Management Concepts- Corporate Strategies at BEML. Mr. Priyan Naik shared his experience and used his expertise to provide us with practical examples and strategies that we can apply in our professional lives.
Day 5 Session 1 focused the role of 12(B) and 2(f) in funded projects. Dr. Ramani Bai, professor from madras university addressed about the 12 B and 2F options and how the educational institutions and faculty can crack the projects.
Day 5 Session 2 focused on consulting skills. Prof. G. Ramesh was the resource person for the second session on consulting skills on the fifth day of Punashchetana 2024. Thanks to Prof. Ramesh's knowledge and views, attendees gained important insight into efficient consulting procedures.
Day 6 focused on Student diversity and inclusion: Strategies in the Classroom. Dr. Prasad provided insightful tips on how to incorporate student diversity in the classroom, with a focus on inclusive design, culturally sensitive instruction, anti-bias education, and strong support networks.
Day 7 Session 1 focused on DIGI CAMPUS-LMS Training. The resource person was Mr. Shazil, the regional head of Digi Campus. The faculty members received thorough training from Mr. Shazil on the DIGII Campus Learning Management System (LMS), assuring they were prepared to make efficient use of the platform.
Day 7 Session 2 focused on facilitation skills for educators. Dr. Herold Andrew Patrick, a professor and dean at CMS Business School at JAIN (Deemed to be University), led the second session. To increase student engagement and learning results, Dr. Patrick's seminar concentrated on improving educators’ facilitation skills.
Day 8 focused on research and publication ethics. Dr. Manjulika discussed about the significance of ethics in general as well as research. Dr. Manjulika tried to develop sensitization about research ethics through a couple of video clips. This was followed by a participatory discussion among the faculty and research assistants.
The Punashchetana 2024 - Faculty Refresher Program concluded with a valedictory event on 15 July 2024, hosted by Dr. Premalatha K. P. The event commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Harold Andrew Patrick, Professor and Dean Academics, followed by the presentation of the Punashchetana 2024 Report by Dr. Vinoth S., Professor and Program Coordinator, Finance. Dr. Dinesh Nilkant, Pro Vice Chancellor, and Dr. Jitendra Kumar Mishra, Registrar, addressed the gathering, emphasizing the program's impact. Faculty members shared their experiences, certificates were presented, and Dr. Gayathri R, Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator delivered the vote of thanks.
