Bengaluru, 5 July 2025: The General Management Area of CMS Business School, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), successfully conducted the second day of its Professional Development Programme (PDP) on “Ethical Leadership: Navigating Complex Decisions in Today’s Business Environment”. The event, held at the Seminar Hall, FMS-CMS, BS – JU, was coordinated by Dr. Salma Begum and Dr. Shalu Singh.

The programme, designed exclusively for alumni, aimed to strengthen ethical leadership skills and encourage responsible business practices among graduates. The session commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Shalu Singh, PDP Coordinator, who highlighted the importance of continuous professional growth and ethical awareness in today’s dynamic corporate world.

The first session of the day was led by Dr. M.K. Lodi, who delivered an insightful presentation on the foundations of business ethics. Participants were guided through worksheets and case-based discussions, exploring themes such as morality, ethical decision-making, and corporate codes of conduct. The second session, conducted by Dr. Sarangapani, addressed real-world ethical dilemmas. Alumni engaged in analysing practical scenarios and reflective exercises that encouraged them to critically evaluate their own ethical perspectives and values.

Reflecting on the event, Dr. Shalu Singh stated: “Our aim was to create a platform where alumni could not only revisit their managerial foundations but also explore the role of ethics in leadership. The sessions facilitated meaningful dialogue and equipped participants with practical tools for navigating complex professional situations with integrity.”

Ms. Shruthi hosted the programme, introduced the speakers, and maintained the flow of the event. Ms. Ishita Gopi delivered a vote of thanks, marking the end of a thought-provoking and enriching session.

The PDP encouraged reflection, dialogue, and deeper understanding of ethical challenges faced in the professional world, reinforcing CMS Business School’s commitment to nurturing responsible leaders.
