"Swachhata Pakhwadais" an initiative of MHRD undertaken by Jain (Deemed-to-be University), CMS B School in order to spread awareness for cleanliness and sustainable living practices across students. As a contribution towards the initiative, various events and activities have been conducted across the institutions of the university between 16 to 31 January, 2020.

On 24 January, 2020 a "Speech and Poster-making with Slogan" competition was conducted by the Student Council and CSR team (Sankalp) of Jain (Deemed-to-be University), CMS Business School, Sheshadri Road. The theme for the event was set as "Forest Conservation". Forest plays a vital role in preventing global warming and building sustainable societies as they have an impact on land conservation, securing of water resources, control on climate change and creation of natural environs essential for human existence. Hence, there is a need to protect and develop them.

Objectives of the Activities:

• To promote the need for protection and conservation of forest and its flora and fauna
• To promote environmental awareness amongst the student community.

The poster-making with slogan competition was evaluated by 2 judges - Dr. Ujjal Mukherjee and Dr. Suvarna Parasnis while one judge - Dr. Dinesh Neelakanta Rao was allocated for speech competition.. The participants enjoyed both the activities and mentioned that they will create awareness among others regarding forest conservation and environment preservation.
