Bengaluru, 22nd August 2025: The CMS Business School, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), inaugurated the IEEE Student Branch and Technology and Engineering Management Society (TEMS) Chapter on 22 August 2025 at Seminar Hall 4, FMS-CMS, Bengaluru. Dr. Praveen Gujjar coordinated the event, which brought together faculty, students, and distinguished guests from academia and industry to mark a significant milestone in the School’s pursuit of technological and managerial excellence.
The inauguration began with a cordial welcome by Ms. Aishwarya Prasad, followed by Ms. Reshma’s introduction to the objectives of the IEEE Student Branch—advancing technology for humanity, fostering innovation, and bridging the gap between academia and industry.
Dr. Krishna Koppa, Deputy Director of CMS Business School, shared his vision for nurturing academic collaboration through the newly established branch. The Chief Guest, Mr. Yatheendranath T. J., CEO of DhiiHii Labs and Chair of the IEEE TEMS Bangalore Chapter, addressed the audience with an inspiring talk on technology leadership and innovation, urging students to leverage IEEE as a platform for professional growth and interdisciplinary learning.
In his address, Dr. Dinesh Nilkant, Pro Vice-Chancellor of JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), emphasised the significance of IEEE in bridging technological advancement and academic rigour. Mr. Subramanya Navada K. R., Secretary of IEEE Bangalore Section, delivered a thought-provoking session on the role of artificial intelligence in management education and elaborated on IEEE’s initiatives promoting innovation and research.
The ceremony concluded with the unveiling of the IEEE Student Branch logo, designed by students Anurose and Vivek. The logo symbolises creativity, collaboration, and the spirit of innovation. Ms. Reshma then voted of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of the organising team, faculty members, and the student community.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Yatheendranath T. J. remarked, “IEEE provides an incredible platform for young minds to explore, innovate, and lead. The establishment of this Student Branch at JAIN University will nurture a new generation of professionals capable of transforming ideas into impactful technologies.”
The inauguration of the IEEE Student Branch and TEMS Society Chapter marks a pivotal step in enhancing research-driven learning and professional engagement at CMS Business School.
